Our story
Founded in 2016, the Cameroon Afro Gospel Choir (CAG) is an interdenominational, professional ensemble with branches in Buea, Yaoundé and Bamenda. Our 44 choristers — filmmakers, medical doctors, lawyers, teachers, IT specialists, artists — are admitted only through an annual audition, and every one of them carries a story.
We blend the traditional rhythms of Cameroon's four cultural regions with contemporary gospel and negro-spiritual harmonies. Nine years in, CAG stands as arguably the most sought-after choir in the coastal lowlands — a pacesetter for choral gospel music in Central Africa as we prepare for our 10th-anniversary jamboree.
